Our Story
AARA was built to restore Australia’s landscapes at scale. Rehabilitating mine sites, building forests, re-establishing native ecosystems, and building the landscapes that make our cities a great place to live. It is technical, physical, long-term work, and we built the business to do it properly.
All Above Reforestation Australia started in 2019 in Bellingen, on the mid-north coast of New South Wales. The thesis was simple: Australia’s environmental restoration market was about to scale faster than the contractors serving it, and the businesses who could deliver at an industrial scale, with the right purpose, the right people, and the right resources, would define the next decade of the industry. We set out to be those operators, and to set the new standard for environmental service business.
By the second year, AARA had delivered more than 1,400 hectares. In 2022 the business expanded interstate. In 2023 the head office moved to Perth in Western Australia.
Today AARA works all across Australia, delivering projects that offer both economic and social returns for our partners and the communities we operate in. We are a partnerships and people focused business, working alongside mining, infrastructure, NGO, and corporate partners to deliver their environmental projects.
