Four kinds of restoration work

Mining rehabilitation, biodiversity offset, catchment restoration, and habitat reconstruction. Each has its own success measure, its own regulator, and its own audit. AARA delivers all four to the standard the client signed off on.

Mining rehabilitation. Post-mining rehabilitation, dust suppression, and progressive closure works. Established to the timeframes set by the closure plan, monitored against the regulator’s sign-off criteria.
Biodiversity offset programmes. Native plantings established to meet offset obligations under state and federal frameworks with the site managed through the establishment period the approval sets.
Catchment and riparian restoration. Revegetation works that stabilise banks, reduce erosion, and rebuild the vegetation along waterways and across the broader catchment.
Habitat reconstruction. Targeted revegetation that rebuilds habitat for native fauna, from food and forage species to the structural elements recovery plans call for.

Built for mining and infrastructure procurement

AARA pre-qualifies against host-site HSEQ requirements before crews mobilise. Field crews carry the tickets the host expects, with inductions completed before the team arrives. Safety systems, insurances, and procedures are documented to the standard mining and infrastructure clients require.

Client requirements and safety

Before mobilisation we work with the proponent to build a client requirements schedule covering their requirements to ensure we deliver what they envision.

Safety systems are reviewed jointly with the proponent. We adapt AARA’s WHS framework for each project to ensure site procedures reflect site conditions.

Ecological outcomes, not stem counts

Restored landscapes take more than a planting spec. We work with the client on site design so the outcome matches what the site needs to become, and we bring in the right partners to back it up.

Trees alone do not create ecological restoration. A restored ecosystem carries species diversity, structural layers, and the conditions for life to return as fast as the site will allow. That is the standard AARA aims to achieve.
